Every legitimate clinic in Turkey operates under a Ministry of Health licence. This is the national standard that audits a clinic's facilities, sterilisation and clinical governance. Ask the clinic for its licence details and check that the business you are talking to matches the licensed entity — the name, address and responsible clinician should line up.

Check the International Health Tourism authorisation

To treat international patients legally, a Turkish clinic must hold Turkey's official Health Tourism authorisation from the Ministry of Health. This certificate is specific to serving overseas patients and signals that the clinic is set up for coordinators, translation and international-standard care. Request the certificate reference and verify it applies to the clinic, not a separate agency.

Verify the treating dentist is registered

A licensed clinic is not the same as a registered dentist. Confirm that the specific clinician who will carry out your treatment is individually registered and that their specialty (for example, prosthodontics or oral surgery) matches your procedure. A clinic that readily names the treating dentist and their qualifications is easy to verify; one that will not is a warning sign.

Get everything in a written treatment plan

Insist on an itemised, written treatment plan before you travel. It should name every procedure, the implant or ceramic brands used, the number of visits, and the all-in cost.
